Walter De Mulder (° 1933) stepped into 1956 photo engraving on the photography. He worked for numerous magazines at home and abroad (including the Standard, Stern, Die Zeit). He also published several articles on photography. In 1964 was Mulder's first Belgian with three photographs awarded at the World Press catalog and only Belgian included in the World 'Kids', composed by Karl Pawek. He also taught at the St. Lucas Institute in Ghent and Brussels and at the academy in Sint-Niklaas.
